The Principality of Zion is at war with the Earth Federation. On September 18, 0079, Zion’s Lieutenant Commander Char Aznable leads a raid on the space colony Storon 7. There he discovers the Earth Federation’s new weapon, the RX-78-2 Gundam, abandoned. He then decides to steal it for himself, setting in motion a domino effect that forever changes history as we know it. Five years later, on the independent colony Storon 6, a young Newtype girl finds herself drawn into the hunt for the missing RX-78-2 Gundam. Soon the events unfold so that she finds herself in the pilot’s seat of the new prototype Gundam GQuuuuuuX and takes part in underground mobile suit fighting competitions. Surrounded by new friends, she tries to understand her strange abilities and find her place in the world, dreaming of heaven, where she can fly freely.
