The Principality of Zeon is at war with the Earth Alliance. On September 18, 0079, Zeon Lieutenant Commander Char Aznable leads a raid into the space colony of Side 7. There, he finds the Earth Alliance’s new weapon, the RX-78-2 Gundam, abandoned. He then decides to steal it for himself, setting off a domino effect that will forever change history as we know it. Five years later, on the independent colony of Side 6, a young Newtype girl finds herself caught up in the hunt for the missing RX-78-2 Gundam. Before long, events conspire to land her in the pilot seat of the new prototype Gundam GQuuuuuuX and enter an underground mobile suit battle competition. Surrounded by new friends, she tries to understand her strange powers and find her place in the world, dreaming of a sky where she can fly freely.
